I just spent the past 4 hours finishing a painting that has been causing me pain for 3 weeks. I have been so stressed out about all the homework I have to do to pull me through finals that I have been on the verge of tears all Thanksgiving break and have been putting off this particular task for days. I have been feeling pretty lousy about my creative skills and doubting myself all semester. I have been doing worse than the majority in my class. Oh I wish it were summer now. To sit in my room as it darkens during dusk and watch a cubs game on WGN. To swim all day in the stifling sun with my sister and break only to rehydrate. To hike through the shady woods and feel the sands of time pause for a moment. To drive around Effy with my friends, doing absolutley nothing and everything at the same time. To play in the cool parks at night and swing towards the moon. To wake in the morning and know Mom is outside planting and tending the most beautiful flowers in the world. Summer Summer Summmer.... Buffalo Wild Wings on Thursday. M. Night Shamalayan move fest. Hockey game on Friday. Movie and Billiards last Sunday. Lonestar! 104% in Spanish last Tuesday. Job opprotunities at SIUC for next year. Possibly 200$ a week pay for the whole year!! I'm feelin' real good. :D
